How do you operate?
We rotate our mobile seaweed bath operation throughout the year between 5 locations in West Cork, Kerry, Clare and Galway Bay.
Where are your locations?
Snave Pier Ballylickey Bantry Bay, Rocky Bay (near Kinsale and Carrigaline), Ceann Trá or Ventry Pier on the Dingle, Clahane at Liscannor Bay in Co. Clare, and Céibh an Lochán near Kinvara in South Galway Bay.
How can I book in for a bath?
Please see our social media pages for location updates which are announced anywhere from 3 days to 10 days ahead of time depending on weather forecasts and then book in via the Book Online section of our website where you will be able to view available slots and our current location “if” we have announced a location. You may also sign up for email notifications via the Home page of our website. Please note we do not provide a long term schedule for when we set up at our different locations and this is due to weather forecasts amongst other considerations.
What do I bring? Please bring swimming togs, towel and drinking water. Please do not bring glass or alcohol.
Cancellation Policy. Please note once a booking has been paid for and confirmed, if you wish to cancel, the first and preferred option is for the purchaser of the booking to send a family member or friend instead and if doing this, to please email us letting us know of the name change for the person who will be arriving for the booking instead. If the aforementioned is not an option, please email us letting us know that you wish to cancel your slot where we will re advertise your slot, where if rebooked, we will refund you subject to a minimum admin fee of €10 or €5 per barrel cancelled.
Gift Vouchers
We no longer sell gift vouchers.
If you have a Wild Atlantic Seaweed Baths gift voucher you’re looking to redeem when booking in, you can use the 7 digit code at the payment stage to complete your booking. Unfortunately if your voucher was purchased before Christmas 2019, your voucher will likely only have a 3 or 4 digit code which is not compatible with our online booking system. If you have one of our older type vouchers, please book in using a credit card and then bring your voucher on the day and will refund your bank card. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
How do the baths work?
We hire them out for an hour. If booked in please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled slot.
Is the water heated? Yes, you can have any temperature you want.
What about hygiene?
We empty, scrub and rinse every bath after each use.
How much does it cost?
Cost is €50.00 per barrel per hour or €70.00 if two or more adults are using the same barrel. Children under age of 16 are free if using the bath with a parent or guardian but must be supervised at all times.
Can I use the bath if I’m pregnant?
Only if you’ve consulted your GP.
How can I book a group in for a future date?
The options are to either book in when we announce a location or to privately hire us (see below). Additionally, if you are looking to book more then 3 baths at one time, please book the additional baths that have a starting time within half an hour of the first 3 baths you have booked and so on.
How much for private hire?
For exclusive event and or corporate hire, we can offer our state of the art mobile seaweed bath operation to both national and international clients. This service can be provided at a hotel of your choosing or any remote location. Please feel free to get in touch if you would like more info.
How can I buy one of your upcycled whiskey barrel hot tubs?
We sell our whiskey barrel hot tubs for €5000 which includes tub with cover, steps, small barrel for cold water and a marine grade stainless steel wood burner or a 6Kw electrical heater. Please get in touch with us via the contact page of our website if you’d like more info.
Franchise?
Our operation is designed to heat sufficient quantities of fresh or seawater to cater for 6 barrels operating on rotation. All ancillary equipment and a self pour system can be provided. National and worldwide delivery available. Please get in touch to discuss further.
